Herdwick Barn -relaxing family and pet friendly barn conversion in Sedbergh

A Destination in itself - highly recommended Positive: Everything! The cottage was immaculate. It was cozy & comfortable in every way. We loved the attention to detail in all the interiors & the quality of all the kitchen equipment and appliances. The wood burning fire was a lovely addition to the coziness of the place. But the highlight was the expansive view from the cottage & the beautiful lounge area outside. While this retreat was out of the way from all the sites we wanted to see, we felt this cottage was a destination in itself & an ideal location to spend quality time with our friends. We only have the fondest memories here & would highly recommend to anyone. To the owner & managers of this gem - thank you for sharing it with us & for maintaining it in such high standards. We felt warmly welcomed & you’ve quietly equipped it to make it our own while we were there, so we took good care of it too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We had a great time. Everything was perfect for our needs with high end cutlery and crockery, knives that worked, beds that were comfortable. There was an overall sense of cleanliness and hygiene. The multifuel fire was easy to light and get going and this gave us really cosy evenings sitting on the sofa and watching TV (which also was uncomplicated and straightforward). There was plenty of fuel for the fire, the outdoor space was lovely and our dog had a great time in the safe area just outside the barn. Great touches like enough hooks on the wall for dog stuff, anoraks, rucksacks and so on. All in all, Herdwick Barn worked for us and we're hoping to revisit.

Beautiful relaxing retreat Positive: Had a lovely stay, beautiful surroundings and the bungalow was very comfortable. Negative: Mattress was a bit soft for me but that’s a personal preference. Nothing to not like will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at Hardwick Barn. Pre stay information was great. The accommodation was delightfully peaceful and comfortable, equipped with everything you could need. Having a large enclosed garden for our two dogs was great. Totally rural location but easy to get to Lake District or Yorkshire Dales. Would stay again in a heartbeat
